Artist bio
"My work tells stories––haunting, surrealistic stories––that come from dreams and the unconscious. The characters in my artwork are often on the brink of some magical transformation, or encounter an animal or being from another world, or sense some invisible threat. They’re both vulnerable and strong, childlike and grown-up, playful and serious, frightened and powerful, mystical and ordinary––like all of us. My art making process is meditative, and meticulous. I love to create mysterious allegorical tales: they portray the vulnerabilities that underlie our lives and the strength we can call up when we face those hidden secrets."
